As a survivor of abuse, one Deborah’s greatest desire is to give victims and survivors of Abuse a VOICE. She founded BE THE VOICE in an effort to do just that. Deborah is a graduate of Liberty University, where she obtained her Psychology degree. She received her Victim Advocacy Certification from Virginia Tech University in 2013 and currently serves as a Court Appointed Child Advocate for abused and neglected children.
She has authored two books. Her first book HURT NO MORE, which is a self help guide for victims and abusers, was released in February 2014.
In early 2015, Deborah released her first children’s book entitled GOOD SECRETS, BAD SECRETS, which helps children differentiate between safe and unsafe secrets.
Deborah has partnered with a number of community leaders and organizations as well hosted and spoken at a number of events to help spread awareness. She has been featured in a number of magazines, news broadcasts, radio shows and the national syndicated television show, The 700 Club.
